According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Washington Redskins have acquired Donovan McNabb from the Philadelphia Eagles. The compensation from the Eagles will be a second-round pick (37th overall) and a future third-round or fourth-round pick based on McNabb’s performance.

Either way, the Kevin Kolb era is underway in Philadelphia.

In this trade, the Redskins definitely upgrade their quarterback position. Their other quarterbacks-Jason Campbell and Rex Grossman-will likely battle for the backup spot or the Redskins will try to trade Campbell. Colt Brennan should start calling teams in the Arena Football League or in the Canadian Football League.

The Eagles think they’ll be a better team with the relatively untested Kolb at the helm instead of their former No. 2 overall pick and six-time Pro Bowler, with his 2.16/1 TD-to-INT ratio.

By trading McNabb within the NFC East, the Eagles are basically telling McNabb, a Pro Bowler this past season for crying out loud, that not only will the Eagles be a better team without him, but they don’t fear playing him twice a year.

Well, that’s just wrong. McNabb won with the Eagles when he didn’t have much talent all around him. What’s to say he won’t do the same thing with the Redskins?

This is a cold-blooded move from the Eagles. It has left sports commentators like Trey Wingo and athletes like Reggie Bush alike stunned.

You just don’t trade within the same division unless you’re absolutely positive that the player won’t hurt you somewhere down the road.

If I were Jerry Jones, I wouldn’t trade a virus to anyone within the NFC East.

So congratulations, Eagles. You’re going to create McNabb sympathizers with this move, leading even more people to hate your franchise. You’ve tarnished your organization’s image toward players-who else is going to want to play in Philly when the Eagles treat their players like this-even though it was already pretty bad in the first place. And for what? Two draft picks?

Congrats, Eagles. You’ve made me hate you so much, I’m going to be rooting for McNabb to beat you twice a year. I hope Kolb flames out and you have to rely on Michael Vick.

First off, Keyshawn begins his rant as Tom Jackson sits there shaking his head, saying “preach it. preach it.”  All the while, Keyshawn is trying to defend Bill Parcells as the creator of the current Dallas Cowboys team, arguing that he deserves respect because the team wouldn’t be doing as well if it weren’t for Parcells.

“Bill Parcell’s built it,” Keyshawn said. I don’t argue this point. Bill Parcells did help move the Cowboys to a new direction, but he never won a playoff game. And if Terrell Owens wants to say he doesn’t like Bill or his style, that’s his damn choice. A lot of players didn’t like him on this current team. But Keyshawn is going overboard here. And ESPN is sparking the friction.

Trey Wingo, ESPN commentator, tries to mask his bias by saying Keyshawn is right, that Owens is having a “heck of a year,” leading the NFL in yards and second in touchdowns. But, then he says: “And apparently, Owens does have bigger fish to fry like yelling at Keyshawn Johnson.”

Are you kidding me? What kind of intro is that? What would you do as a professional football player if Keyshawn is preaching to you about behavior and character? I personally thought Owens replied with humor and class.  Owens finishes and then Wingo heads back to Keyshawn, who is readily available to comment, with the intro: “Keyshawn what’s your reaction to T.O.’s sort of over-the-top reaction?”

Over the top? Really, Wingo? Are you serious? Keyshawn then continues on for a minute bashing Owens and kissing Parcell’s sack.

“I was always taught to never get into a pissing match with a skunk because they will piss all over you and they like it.”

Classy, Keyshawn. Real classy.

“Why do you think that T.O. chose to do this, Keyshawn?” Wingo asks, as if he has completely forgotten who started this problem.  “If you listen to what you said you did say that he was having a heck of a year and you did say that you would give him your vote for player of the year.” All this time, there is a screen with Owens sitting on a bench, and the words: “Terrell Owens calls out Keyshawn Johnson.”

Wingo? Are you EFFING serious? Someone please tell me you can see this scam unraveling?

“I was just trying to help him,” Keyshawn said. “I chose to walk away from the game because I did have bigger fish to fry.” Keyshawn even uses Wingo’s same “fish to fry” words to end his tirade.

Come on folks, is this a set up or what? Is ESPN and Bill Parcells trying to destroy the Cowboys season?
