Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo was booed when announced into the Pro Bowl tonight. He ended up completing his first six passes and led the NFC to a touchdown run by DeAngelo Williams. But on the next drive he threw a game-ending interception. The AFC won 41-34.

I didn’t quite expect the boos for Romo. The game was in South Florida and I’m not sure what the fans had against Romo.

The boos and the interception were quite an ending for Romo, who had one of his best seasons as a Cowboys starter. He is already the team’s leader in seasons throwing for more than 25 touchdowns. Only Danny White and Roger Staubach have done it, both twice for the Cowboys.

I think the comparisons of Brett Favre and Tony Romo are spot on I think. Romo hasn’t thrown nearly as many interceptions as Favre did early in his career, but they both have a knack of losing games.

I believe Romo does win a Super Bowl, and he’ll go down as one of the Cowboys great quarterbacks. It may be in 2011, in Cowboys Stadium. That’s a feat no team has ever accomplished.

After plucking the Philadelphia Eagles for the third time this year, the Dallas Cowboys head to freezing Minnesota to play the Vikings. Luckily, there’s a dome. It’s the classic playoff matchup, pitting the old, three-time retired quarterback Brett Favre against Tony Romo, who idolized the former Cheesehead.

The way the Cowboys defense is playing there will surely be pressure for Favre to quickly get rid of the ball. Favre, who has thrown more interceptions than any QB in NFL history, will like throw one or two if he is under pressure. If the Cowboys have a large lead, he could turn the ball over more.

But I don’t think the key to winning is pressure Favre. I also don’t think it’s stopping Adrian Peterson.

I the Cowboys play like they did Saturday, no team is going to beat them. There is not another team who can run the ball like the Cowboys, while throwing a top-notch defense at every offensive player on the field. Even the Cowboys new field goal kicker, Shaun Suisham has confidence.

The Vikings are not that much diferent than the Cowboys. The connection that Brad Childress was a staffer for Eagles coach Any Reid probably means there could be some similarities, but it is unlikely there are many. The chief difference with the Eagles and Vikings is the Vikings have a serious threat at running back–and he is healthy. The Vikings want to focus on running the ball.

This game is 13 years in the making. The Cowboys, who lead the NFL in number of playoff games, almost won the record of having the longest playoff win drought.

The Vikings aren’t exactly coming into this game on a wave of confidence. After going 10-1, the Vikings lost three of five games. Favre and Childress were fighting. It was a mess.

Yet, the Vikings are confident?

All sports broadcasters are now saying the Cowboys are the hottest team in the NFL. And they are. There is no team as confident as these Dallas Cowboys.

Unlike the Eagles and wide out DeSean Jackson, the Vikings are being a little more humble about their opponent this weekend. Childress and his players recognize how well the Cowboys are playing and how difficult a win will be.
