Woody said, “If Jeff Fisher was the coach of (University of) Tennessee, with his record? What about when he fired Norm Chow by telephone and everybody’s dogging Vince (Young) but not him (Fisher)? …. I don’t like Fisher”

While the Dallas Cowboys were not on the field Sunday, there was plenty of action in Texas to go around. When the Tennessee Titans traveled to Houston to face off against the Texans, a one-sided game broke out as did a fight. Midway through the fourth quarter Texans receiver Andre Johnson and Titans corner Cortland Finnegan got into a fight in the middle of the field. Both players had their helmets thrown off and Johnson connected two solid hooks and an uppercut on Finnegan. The two were ejected from the game.

Fines are likely coming for both players, but I don’t see any suspensions necessary. Video of the incident available after the jump!

In the Cowboys heart-breaking loss to the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, running back Felix Jones had a career day — 15 carries, 109 yards. He rushed for 100-yards in a regular season game for the first time in his NFL career. It was also just the sixth time in Jones’ career that he received double-figure touches.

“We want to get Felix the ball more,” head coach Wade Phillips said. “We did that and I thought it showed up well. We’ll continue to evaluate what we need but I thought it helped our running game.”

There is no question that Jones provided a spark for the offense, but should he be named the starter? As of now, Phillips is saying that Barber will keep his starting role and Jones will remain the back up. Is that the smart choice?

For a team that is completely lacking any form of physical or mental toughness, I believe Barber is the right choice as the starter. He can wear down opposing defenses and open up running lanes on the outside for Jones. Barbers power-running style also plays in to the offensive lines strengths and would help free up the passing.

So while Wade Phillips continues his poor coaching job, he at least is making the right choice at starting running back. Of course, Jerry Jones always has the final say.
