I wanted to interview Leon Lett and experience the end to so many grudges, but this was Thanksgiving! Should I really make the trip to Cowboy Stadium? Well, 80% of my family are UFC fighters, and holidays are usually one big battle royale, so I wasn’t going to miss the family aspect of the holiday. And I’ve never really enjoyed turkey, because of those things that hang off of their chins. Not for me. So I decided that I would make the journey to Arlington and take part in Leon Lett’s climactic ending to the “Man Who Played Literally Hungry” saga. (more…)

The above video is part of an ad campaign by Snickers that claims we should forgive Leon Lett for his 1993 Thanksgiving Day blunder due to hungry. The faux documentary, which you can watch in it’s entirety at nfl.com/snickers, claims Lett was encouraged to “play hungry” prior to the big game. Leon apparently took this advice literally.

If 25,000 people can forgive Lett for his mistake, Snickers will honor him during this year’s Thanksgiving rematch between the Dallas Cowboys and Miami Dolphins on November 24th. Although it brings back some bad memories, it’s really funny and worth the watch.  Even if it’s just to see some old familiar faces again.
