Last year the Cowboys signed a guy by the name of Keith Brooking, who was at the tail end of a career spent with the Atlanta Falcons. He’s a former player of Cowboys coach Wade Phillips.

The Zach Thomas Experiment failed. The Brooking Experiment was a success. Finally, the team has a freak show, with no fo-sho attitude. Brooking’s  the leader of that Cowboys team.

Coming off an 11-5 season and the new level of confidence in Tony Romo, Miles Austin, Felix Jones and the Cowboys defense, there’s not a lot of tweaking that needs to be done.

I had to laugh when I read Todd Archer’s blog that begins with “There’s panic in the streets” because the Cowboys have been so quiet. He says Jerry’s warning there would be almost a dozen new players on the team for 2011 was supposed to jolt his Boys. With his competitive spirit, it is fascinating to see him holding tight; he wants to win the Super Bowl this year more than any of us could believe.

Let’s just hope he doesn’t sign Terrell Owens.
