During the 2011 NFL preseason, there was no bigger possible sleeper then Dallas Cowboys’ running back Felix Jones. Experts said it would be his breakout year. But yet again, injury reared it’s ugly head for Jones and in-turn opened the door for another player to take his starting job. Now that the season is over, Jones find himself once again on the bench. And with the upcoming season being the final year of his contract and possibly with the team, some Cowboy fans may want to get something of value from the former first round pick. Here are my five reasons why Felix should stay at least one more year. (more…)

This pic has nothing to do with the article, but her facial expression deserves the front page.

I will list the things that stood out to me as I watched the game, and then conclude with my thoughts about Rob Ryan’s defense and the secondary.

When I read some of the game reviews this week, I was pretty surprised at how unhappy the Cowboy fans were. I sometimes think the fans will only be happy when we score at least 30 and hold the opposition to under 10 every game. I don’t think they played awesome, but I do think that holding a hot Miami team to 19 is better than average.

Click here to read my general thoughts about the defense against Miami.

Rookie Dan Bailey kicked his second straight game-winning field goal with a mere three second left on the clock to extend the Cowboys winning streak to four games. It also effectively ended the Dolphins own three game winning streak.

Dallas quarterback Tony Romo struggled early on, throwing two interceptions. But it was a bad snap by Miami’s offense and the resulting fumble recovery by Dallas’ DeMarcus Ware that turned the tide. That turnover in the second quarter lead to the games’ first score that wasn’t a field goal, when Romo scrambled to find wideout Laurent Robinson in the endzone. Robinson would score two touchdowns on the day. (more…)
