5 Players to Watch For In The Cowboys vs. Redskins Game!

Laurent Robinson: Can he continue the success he has had the past few weeks? With Miles Austin out of the lineup, the Cowboys and Tony Romo have relied a lot on Robinson to make up for the loss of Austin. Robinson came up huge last weekend against the Bills, burning them for 73 yards but most importantly 2 touchdowns. He is giving Romo that 3^rd option he was missing the last time Austin was sidelined. If Robinson can continue to play the way he has, it will give the Cowboys a wide range of options even when Austin returns. I expect Robinson to have a similar week this week with 70 yards receiving and a touchdown.

Felix Jones: What can we expect from Jones now that he is the backup? Felix Jones left the New England game the starting running back for the Cowboys; however, when he returns to the field on Sunday it will be as DeMarco Murray’s backup. The question now is what will Jones bring to the running game now that he is back? Felix has a chance to return with no pressure on him and to play a big role, Murray will get a majority of the touches but the Cowboys are going to still need yards when he is not in the game. Now Jones coming off an injury has to prove that he is healthy, but if he can I would like to see him return to the guy who was backing up Marion Barber. I think Jones and Murray will provide a nice 1-2 punch for the Cowboys. I see Jones having a 35 yard game in his return. (more…)

This week’s poll is dedicated to Chris Cooley and his recent attempt to rekindle the Cowboys vs. Redskins rivalry.

As a Cowboy fan, I don’t just cheer for my team, I necessarily hate every other team. My loyalty to them is unwavering; my faith in them is beyond irrational. With the exception of long time greats like Dorsett, Emmitt, and LA, I won’t even allow myself to like ex-Cowboy players when they switch teams. I even hate rugby teams because they play a sport similar to football and they have no stars on their uniforms.

Despite my dislike for anything related to football that is not the Cowboys, there are some teams that I loathe more than others.

Truth be told, my animosity for some of the other NFL teams is, in reality, a compliment. There is no point hating teams that are terrible year in and year out. So, yes, some of the teams made my list just because they are excellent teams.
