Dallas Cowboys-related Tweet of the Week: @PaulAzinger “Americas team performing better than Americas economy! #cowboys”

By this time, you probably know everything there is to know about the Cowboys’ 31-15 win in Tampa on Saturday. You’ve also probably dissected every possible playoff scenario after all those wild games (Around 1:03 EST, I said “Wouldn’t it be a great story if the Colts and Chiefs won today?” It’s the truth. Ask my brother) we witnessed on Sunday. Basically, ladies and gentlemen, it all comes down to the Cowboys taking care of their own business. We are in control of our own destiny. Even if the Christmas Eve game against the Eagles doesn’t end up being a “win and you’re in” game, it is still the last time the team will play at home in 2011. The players may or may not scoreboard-watch, but they will still play hard and defend the star. (more…)

The Dallas Cowboys will face the New York Jets tonight in East Rutherford, NJ. Their playing in the MetLife Stadium, which is an open-air field. This mean weather plays a big factor in all their games.

But tonight, it seems Mother Nature will be quietly watching the game, just like the rest of America. Tonight’s forecast calls for partly cloudy skies with a slight 20% chance of rain. Those chances of precipitation go down as the night continues.

Wind should not be a factor as it’s currently blowing southeast at about 9mph. It’s forecast to be blowing SSW at around 7mph at game-time.

If it does rain, it obviously favors both teams’ strong ground games. But the wind should not be a factor in the passing game. All in all, it sounds like a wonderful night to start the season.
