Nebraska cornerback Prince Amukamara became the 30th and final prospect to visit Valley Ranch as part of the pre-draft process. The Cowboys hosted the second-ranked corner today.

Amukamara joined other notables such as USC tackle Tyron Smith, Wisconsin defensive end JJ Watt, and quarterbacks Andy Dalton and Greg McElroy as prospects who have visited the team in the past week.

Talk of Amukamara has cooled down with the emergence of Tyron Smith and Aldon Smith as potential picks for the Cowboys, but the team appears to remain high on the defensive back.

With the NFL Draft quickly approaching, the Dallas Cowboys and all other teams are doing homework on any potential draft picks. Over the past two days, Valley Ranch has played host to a handful of players making visits.

Prototypical five-technique JJ Watt, top-ranked offensive tackles Tyron Smith and Nate Solder and defensive backs Aaron Williams, Quinton Carter, and Brandon Burton have all made the visit. Some other names who were in town are Kelvin Sheppard, Kenrick Ellis, small school receiver Edmund Gates and the athletic freak wideout Jonathan Baldwin.

The team’s most recent visit came from Florida offensive lineman Mike Pouncey, who said today that he’d be surprised if he does not become a member of the team.

Most draftniks will have the Dallas Cowboys focusing on defensive end or cornerback with their first selection in the upcoming NFL Draft. One prospect, in particular, is Wisconsin defensive end J.J. Watt who was slotted to go to the Cowboys by ESPN’s Mel Kiper in one of his previous mock drafts.

Watt has a non-stop motor and variety of moves that could help him get a rush on the opposing team’s quarterbacks. That is just what the doctor ordered for the five-technique to help Jay Ratliff continue to shine. He ended the year with 21 tackles for loss, 10 QB hurries, seven sacks, three forced fumbles, one interception and three blocked kicks.

Most recently, Watt has gained some attention after a workout video of his was aired on ESPN’s Sportscenter. In the video, Watt works with speed coach Nick Winkelman as he prepares for this week’s NFL Scouting Combine. Check out the video after the jump.
