TOP 10 Candidates for the Dallas Cowboys Ring of Honor

When Dallas Cowboys Owner and GM Jerry Jones inducted Drew Pearson, Larry Allen, and Charley Haley in to the Dallas Cowboys Ring of Honor, it brought the total to 20 men (18 players plus Tom Landry and Tex Schramm) in the Ring. It also sparked questions about whether Charley Haley deserved to be in The Ring, and that controversy led some of us to start thinking about who should be the next to get inducted in to the Ring.

We decided to let you, the Dallas Cowboys faithful, determine which Cowboy player(s) most deserve to be in the Ring of Honor. We will continue providing profiles for the 10 finalists this week. One clarification before we introduce this week’s Candidate for the ROH: I received several emails this week questioning whether the order in which the candidates were introduced was meant to be an indication of their worthiness for induction. NFL’s Best Tight End, Jason Witten, Said Michael Strahan’s Visit Made Him ‘Sick’

Reporters questioned All-Pro elite tight end Jason Witten for about seven minutes yesterday after practice. During the interview, he talks about how seeing Michael Strahan at practice made him sick. It made us sick, too Jason. He also said he thought about keeping him out of practice so he wouldn’t tell his friends in New York about his observations. You can watch the video here.

Yes, Strahan’s appearance is very suspicious to say the least. His new career as a sports analyst doesn’t mean he has to show up at important Dallas Cowboys practices. The league should investigate his visit, and ensure he did not record anything. The New England Patriots set a sneaky cheating precedent in this league, and Strahan needs to prove he did not record anything.

Jay Novacek Picks Dallas Cowboys to Win By 1 Point

Why isn’t former Arizona Cardinals and Dallas Cowboys tight end Jay Novacek in the Hall of Fame? It must be that Cardinal Curse.

I didn’t know the clutch catcher for the Cowboys 90′s championships had a blog. He writes here that it is very difficult to beat a team three times in a season.

So the Cowboys face a tough task against the Giants. Dallas hasn’t played all that well in December, and New York is sure to make some big adjustments. This will be a very challenging game for the Cowboys and Wade Phillips, but the Dallas defense will make the difference. Expect the Cowboys to come up with a key interception, either for a touchdown or setting up one.

He picks the Cowboys to win 21-20. Fair enough. A win is a win. I think it is going to be more like 35-17.

In other news, Matt Mosley’s report here about the unusual lion statue at Andre Gurode’s locker is still a mystery. He e-mailed me tonight by blackberry that it is an “ongoing investigation.” I love it. I hope he finds out what that was all about.
