Earlier this week, ESPN Dallas, came out with an article about how Rob Ryan is the scapegoat for the 2011 defensive play, as well as less than average defensive personnel. After [...]

Dallas Cowboys Defensive Woes Won’t Continue - The Landry Hat - The Landry Hat - A Dallas Cowboys Fan Site - News, Blogs, Opinion and more.

Consider this post a celebratory post. There is finally some actual football to discuss. Last night the ‘Boys added six undrafted free agents, with more coming today. The team’s first practice is in two days. And, most importantly, they can begin signing unrestricted free agents on Friday. In other words, BIG week. But, we are already knew that. Let’s get to some links and other randomness on this glorious labor strife free Tuesday morning.

Clarence E. Hill of the Star Telegram says that the fans are the real losers in the lockout. Hill thinks the on field product will suffer from not having an off-season. He also said that this stuff could’ve been wrapped up in March. I can’t disagree with that part, but the on-field play should be fine. After all, these are some of the greatest athletes the world has ever seen. They might be a little rusty the first couple of weeks, but they’ll be at a high level before the season is half way over. And, if they show any sign of life whatsoever over the first eight weeks, they’ll be off to a better start than last year. (more…)

Yesterday on 103.3 ESPN Radio in DFW, Everson Walls questioned whether Tony Romo was the right man to the lead the Cowboys at quarterback. Well sort of. As I’m sure a great number of readers already know, the actual interview wasn’t quite as critical of Romo as it might seem. Walls didn’t flat out trash Tony. Still, his assertion that Romo has some “tells” that he can’t get over was somewhat disconcerting. It would be nice if he shared that piece of information with Tony. (more…)
