Inevitably some rookies will holdout from training camp for a week or two in a contract dispute and inevitably an injury will befall one of them. Ankle sprains, hamstrings, hip pointers, etc. Even veterans holdout seeking a new contract, e.g. Darrelle Revis. Can we finally eliminate from our collective mind the fallacy of logic that a holdout equals an injury?

Dez Bryant was the first of the first round draft picks to sign his rookie contract and he is now out for the remainder of training camp with a high ankle sprain. The fact of the matter is that the players are playing football. A violent collision sport that is abundant with injuries. During the season when you look at an injury report, the players listed are only an abridged story (especially in New England).

Knowing the difference between pain and injury is a lesson taught in the earliest stages of competition (to include 5 year old girls softball). Apparently understanding the cause of injury is a lesson never imparted to some coaches.
