In Peter King’s most recent Sports Illustrated column, he says that the Dallas Cowboys are a top-1o in the NFL, behind the regular favorites—New England, Pittsburgh, Indianapolis and New York Giants—and even some newbies in the Bears and Eagles.

But at No. 9, he lays out how the Dallas Cowboys may finally be able to crack the secret code that gets you into the playoffs: Run the ball more.

The Cowboys dropped back to pass more than 200 times than they ran the ball. With three young running backs who all showed signs of greatness last year, there is no reason the Cowboys cannot rely on the very-well paid offensive line this year. No longer can the Cowboys rely on Tony Romo to win every game.

If some pressure is taken off Romo, especially with Terrell Owens out of the picture, he very well may be able to make the big plays when they county.

The key to success for the Cowboys is running the ball. We just hope offensive coordinator Jason Garrett knows this.
