The Dallas Cowboys Franchise was recently reported as the most valuable franchise in the NFL at an estimated 2 billion dollars (and yes that’s billion with a “B”). In a 2012 ESPN poll the Cowboys still rank on top as the “most popular” team in football. However, even with all the money and fame they’ve not even come close to a Super Bowl since their last Divisional Play-off visit in 1996. It leads one to question, did Jerry Jones’ passion for winning switched from Lombardi trophies to Forbes rankings?

There is no church in Cowboys Stadium. But apparently there is a Victoria’s Secret lingerie store.

Really? And cue the jokes — now.

When it comes to stadium loudness, I’m puzzled. I’m infatuated with the rise of The 12th Man in Seattle. I love and appreciate Buffalo Bills fans because like no other, they’ve stuck by their team through losing seasons and numerous changes. And then there’s The Kansas City Chiefs: one of the loudest places to play ball. (The Chiefs? Really?)

Dec 2, 2012; Arlington, TX, USA; A general view of a penalty flag on the field for the game with the Philadelphia Eagles playing against the Dallas Cowboys at Cowboys Stadium.
But the Cowboy’s have a Victoria’s Secret store.

They might as well dynamite Cowboys Stadium and build a church. This place isn’t a palace of success; it’s a place where we can come to pray for success.

And we haven’t seen it. Not since this stadium was built.

I fear for The Dallas Cowboys. I fear that with another subpar season, The Cowboy’s famous title “America’s Team,” will be stripped down quicker than Adriana Lima’s thong.

This organization and fans have been humbled. But count us fans out you cannot. Never!

As much as we point fingers and toss around opinions, I feel that Cowboy fans could do more on Sundays. When in attendance, let your presence be known at the stadium.

I understand, it’s easy to lose yourself in the big screen and all the jazz in Jerry’s world. So if it’s easier for you to glue your eyes on a LCD, stay home and surf Facebook.

The way I see it, Cowboys Stadium should be the loudest stadium — period. No question. Hands down.

Oh let’s see, The Dallas Cowboys topped Forbes’s 2012 “Most Valuable Team” in the NFL. Yes, the top. Six years in a row. That’s pretty swanky considering the Cowboys haven’t reached a Super Bowl in 17 years (and still counting).

According to an ESPN Sports Poll in 2012, the Cowboys still top the NFL as the most popular team (read: favorite). And the Cowboys own two playoff wins since winning the Super Bowl in 1996? Say what?

And yet this palace seems to be a place where opposing teams play as if they’re at Disney World. And you know what, us fans let the Cowboys down. We have a role on Sundays.

Oh, you’re laughing at me? You think fans in Minnesota are laughing? How about New Orleans fans in the SuperDome? I mean the stadium in Pittsburg is so loud from my television that even from my couch I’m intimidated.

That’s football folks. That’s why we love this game. That’s why you are reading this. So do yourself and this team a favor: Scream your tail off on Sundays.
