How The Cardinals Stole Christmas

It was a long shot. Dallas was down 21-3 early in the Christmas showdown against the Arizona Cardinals before going on an impressive run led by Stephen McGee — who was seeing his first NFL action of his career. Dallas took a late lead, 26-24, and inconsistent kicker David Buehler had the opportunity to hit the extra point and extend the Dallas lead to three.

In typical David Buehler and Christmas-ruining fashion, Buehler shanked the extra point wide left. A gimme kick that could have forced the Cardinals to score a touchdown to win and Buehler missed it.

Arizona then drove down the field and Jay Feely kicked the game-winning 48-yard field goal. That was it. Game over. The Arizona Cardinals played the role of the Grinch and stole Christmas victory away from the Cowboys.

All Experts Side With Cowboys In Christmas Showdown

The Dallas Cowboys will enter hostile territory for tomorrow’s Christmas Showdown against the Arizona Cardinals. Dallas enters as the visiting team, but that does not mean they do not have the support of many watching from home.

All ESPN analysts and experts picked the Cowboys to take down Arizona tomorrow and improve their record to 6-9. The Cardinals sit at 4-10 and are currently led by little-known rookie quarterback John Skelton. Look for the Dallas defense to bring the pressure and force the youngster into mistakes early and often.

If all goes as expected, the Dallas Cowboys will be giving fans the gift of victory.

Cowboys Players Get In The Christmas Spirit

The Christmas spirit was as evident than ever today in the Cowboys locker room were many players were sporting blue Cowboys Santa hats and exchanging gifts. Quarterback Jon Kitna continued to impress his teammates as he gave each one of his offensive lineman an iPad.

Offensive tackle Marc Colombo was carrying around a Gucci bag that he got from Marion Barber. Offensive guard Leonard Davis was still looking for a present and joked that Tony Romo hadn’t given him one yet because he was busy buying another engagement ring.

According to the reporters who were in the locker room, morale seemed higher than ever and the players were really enjoying their time. Let’s hope the positive attitude translates onto the field tomorrow when the Cowboys face off against the Arizona Cardinals.
