Dallas Cowboys fans can breath a collective sigh of relief with the recent news of Dre Kirkpatrick’s dismissal of a recent marijuana possession charge.

The 6’2″ cornerback from Alabama is regarded by some as one of the top defensive backs available in this years 2012 NFL draft. Kirkpatrick is considered a top 10 talent and ranks ninth overall on Scouts Inc.’s top 32.

Apparently former Crimson Tide defensive back Christopher Airreun Rogers who was employed by Under Armour at the time of the arrest, according to Liz Mullen of SportsBusiness Journal, is being investigated internally for being on the job & driving Kirkpatrick when they were both arrested.

Apparently someone somewhere signed an affidavit accepting all responsible for the weed and releasing Kirkpatrick of any and all responsibility.

Dallas fans can now dance around in jubilation for Kirkpatrick is no longer considered a knucklehead and can now be drafted by general manager Jerry Jones without worry of fallout from fans who oppose the Cowboys adding players with legal issues to the team.
