The Dallas Cowboys 2010 Draft – Who Else was Available?

In a continuing series reviewing the Dallas Cowboys most recent drafts and who else was available, today the 2010 draft will be evaluated. The team has shown the ability to find good talent in Rounds 1 & 2. However, the team has struggled mightily to find success with any type of consistency to find players in rounds 3-7. With the amount of resources that is provided to NFL teams scouting departments and time spent preparing for the draft that is very disappointing and has caused the team to spend money in free agency to try to fill the team’s deficiencies instead of using free agency to fill the last few holes of a championship caliber roster.

Dez Bryant Deal Expected To Be Done “As Soon As Possible”

It is widely expected that Cowboys rookie wide receiver Dez Bryant will miss the first few days of training camp while his contract is finalized.

However, the first-round pick’s agent Eugene Parker is hopeful that the deal will be done very soon.

“We are going to work to get it done as soon as possible,” Parker told Clarence E. Hill, Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. “They want it done. We want it done.”

As soon as Bryant is under contract, the only remaining draft picks that will need to sign are linebacker Sean Lee, cornerback Jamar Wall and defensive end Josh Price-Brent, who was selected in the supplemental draft.
