(0-16) QB Sam Bradford, Oklahoma – Bradford could be the Matt Ryan of 2009 if the Lions snag him with the first pick. They desperately need a good quarterback to help the rebuilding process. 2 St. Louis Rams
(2-14) OT Andre Smith, Alabama – The Rams have some solid players to build around if they could protect the quarterback and open holes for Steven Jackson.
 3 Kansas City Chiefs
(2-14) WR Michael Crabtree, T-Tech – Pair this guy with Dwayne Bowe and the Chiefs have a threatening passing game….if they had a quarterback. Maybe that’ll come in the second round, but Crabtree is going to be a star.
 4 Seattle Seahawks
(4-12) OT Michael Oher, Ole Miss – The Seahawks need pass protection and Oher is the second best in the draft.
 5 Cleveland Browns
(4-12) DE Michael Johnson, G-Tech – No. 93 made play after play for the Yellow Jackets and he’ll be needed in Cleveland to help that woeful defense.
 6 Cincinnati Bengals
(4-11-1) OT Eugene Monroe, UVA- The Bengals were worst in the league on third downs because the offensive line was pathetic. Monroe is the best left and the Bengals need him and more.
 7 Oakland Raiders
(5-11) S Taylor Mays, USC – The 6’3″ safety is a powerful hitter who can be a game changer, someone the Raiders need on defense.
 8 Jacksonville Jaguars
(5-11) CB Malcom Jenkins, Ohio St. – Jenkins was a top prospect last year before he decided to return. The Jags were awful defending the pass and Jenkins should start immediately.
 9 Green Bay Packers
(6-10) DE Brian Orakpo, Texas – He’s a beast the Packers did after a disappointing 2008 season for the defense. Although he is coming off knee surgery, Orakpo should not be overlooked.
 10 San Francisco 49ers
(7-9) DE Greg Hardy, Ole Miss – Mike Singletary will focus on his defense and Hardy, although he’ll need to put on some more weight, is quick and ferocious.
 11 Buffalo Bills
(7-9) DE Everette Brown, FSU – Bills desperately need a sack artist.
 12 Denver Broncos
(8-8) LB Rey Maualuga, USC – The Broncos need to focus on defense for the entire draft. Seek out linebackers and try them all out against one another. Let the best man win.
 13 Washington Redskins
(8-8) LB Aaron Curry, Wake Forest - The Redskins may want to consider bringing in a quarterback to challenge Jason Campbell, but Aaron Curry is a sure bet at linebacker for the Redskins.
 14 New Orleans Saints
(8-8) CB Vontae Davis, Illinois – The Saints still cannot defend the pass. The Saints need to keep trying at this position until they find a winner because they got killed this year with the big pass plays.
 15 Houston Texans
(8-8) LB James Laurinaitis, Ohio St. – The Houston Texas have offensive firepower, but the defense needs improvement. *The order of the following teams could change based on the playoffs. 16 San Diego Chargers
(8-8) WR Percy Harvin, Florida – Chris Chamber fizzled after catching five touchdowns in four games. He just was not effective. So bring in this kid and give Phillip Rivers a deep threat.
 17 New York Jets
(9-7) QB Matt Stafford, Georgia - If Brett Favre leaves no one feels real good about the backups for the Jets. 18 Chicago Bears
(9-7) WR Jeremy Maclin, Missouri – The Bears may seek a wide receiver in free agency or a trade, but if not, Maclin would pair with with Devon Hester.
 19 Tampa Bay Buccaneers
(9-7) RB Chris Wells, Ohio St. – Cadillac’s career looks to be over and the Bucs would loving nothing more than to not lose a step in the backfield. Wells can help this team make the playoffs.
 20 Detroit Lions
(9-7, Pick via Cowboys) OT Jason Smith, Baylor - Goster Cherilus and Jason Smith should provide good protection for the Lions new franchise quarterback. 21 Arizona Cardinals
(9-7) RB Knowshon Moreno, Georgia - The Cardinals aren’t likely to rely on just Tim Hightower. Moreno can run over people and move around them. 22 Philadelphia Eagles
(9-6-1) FS William Moore, Missouri – The Eagles will need help at safety. 23 Minnesota Vikings
(10-6) TE Brandon Pettigrew, Oklahoma State -The Vikings need a great hands tight end.
 24 New England Patriots
(11-6) OLB Clint Sintim, Virginia – He can play outside and at the end. Sintim may be the best defensive player taken in the first round when it is all said and done.
25 Atlanta Falcons
(11-5) DT BJ Raji, Boston College - Raji will replacing the aging Grady Jackson. 26 Miami Dolphins
(11-5) CB Alphonso Smith, Wake Forest - His height is a problem but he is probably still one of the top corners available. 27 Baltimore Ravens
(11-5) CB DJ Moore, Vanderbilt - The Ravens will look to continue to improve their defense. 28 Indianapolis Colts
12-4) NT Terrence Cody, Alabama – A huge 365 elephant should be able to stop the runs up the middle, right? 29 Philadelphia Eagles
(12-4; Pick via Panthers) TE Jermaine Gresham, Oklahoma - The Eagles need to upgrade their tight end and Gresham could be a steal here. 30 Pittsburgh Steelers
(12-4) C Alex Mack, Cal – The top center in the nation can immediately upgrade a Steeler O-line that needs it. 31 New York Giants
(12-4) OLB Brian Cushing, USC - A New Jersey native, Cushing is a good run stopper. He’s the best left on the board. 32 Tennessee Titans
