]]> When the Cowboys 2012 season reached its conclusion this past winter, there were numerous issues that contributed to another 8-8 finish and missing out on the playoffs.  Some of the issues that were causing problems have at least been addressed (premium draft pick on the offensive line and a durable running back prospect) while others as we are coming up on Memorial Day Weekend still have not been.  Over the next few weeks, I will produce a series that will list some of these items, and dig a little into each of them.

As a lifelong fan of the team, I try to be open minded and unbiased when writing on issues that concern the players or team.  I was brought aboard this site in July 2012, and it has been a pleasure to do a weekly column on the Cowboys. However, the last two weeks have been even brighter in particular with a few real cool events that I had the pleasure to cover.

]]> With the next “big” date on the NFL calendar looming in just over three weeks with “June 1st cuts”, the Doug Free contract stalemate will soon come to a resolution.  I was fortunate enough to cover the Dallas Cowboys Home Run Derby at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington on Wednesday afternoon. After each participant finished their ten at-bats in the first round, the player would then proceed to come over to the first base dugout where the media was congregating.
