The Dallas Cowboys have signed all of their draft picks and are now in the preliminary process of building their 53-man roster. The team has high hopes heading into 2017, however, several players could be facing less hopeful outcomes.

As positional battles intensify players could be forced out either by a trade or release, and that is just the nature of the business. Young rookies coming in mean some old familiar faces could be on their way out.

Below are some players who could see their time with the Cowboys end. With each player, we will take a quick look at just how the front office could utilize these players during the offseason.

#1. Alfred Morris, Running Back

Morris finds himself in an odd position. He has never really gotten a full contract in the NFL some of the other running backs with stats similar to his have received so he has been flying a little under the radar.

Morris has not impressed on the field either and that does not bode well for his chance to make the 53-man roster. With starting running back, Ezekiel Elliott taking most of the snaps, the team really has not needed to rely on Morris for any stretch of time.

When he did get snaps last season, it seemed as if he was running in quicksand, no real burst whatsoever. Still, he is one of the top veteran options out there. If the Cowboys could swing a trade that either involves some mid-late round picks for Morris, I could see him finding a new home by preseason.
