It’s no secret most of the planet predicts the Dallas Cowboys defense will fall flat on their face again this season.  Possibly even top last year as the worst defense in club history.

I’m here to tell you, right now, that doesn’t have to be the case.  Not with the players currently on the team. And including those set to return down the line.

I say it “doesn’t have to be” the case. But am not saying it “won’t be” the case.  If the vicious injury bug begins to rip through the starting defense again, all bets are off.

However, there is a way this team can end with a top-20 defense.  And one sturdy enough to let the offense excel and keep their NFC East title hopes alive.

Here are five MUSTS  that have to occur for this defense to succeed.  Without them, pray for seven wins.  If they all occur, this defense will find their redemption.
