With every NFL team releasing and waiving numerous amounts of fringe players earlier today, the Dallas Cowboys are hoping to reap the benefits. Especially on the defensive side of the ball, where Dallas has been devastated by injuries and suspensions.
With the list of waived players just now starting to hit the main stream media outlets, I thought I present my own list of possible players the Cowboys could pick up in the next 24 hours.
But first, let’s be clear about Dallas’ front office, specifically assistant director of player personnel Will McClay and his past acquisitions. As of late, the Cowboys front office seems to favor players who are: 1.) relatively unknown; 2.) possess potential over experience; 3.) were high draft picks that didn’t pan out; 4.) as of late, are former New England Patriots.
Now not all of the players in the following pages fit within these categories. But it’s certainly something to keep in mind.
