SEPTEMBER
vs. San Francisco, at Tennessee, at St. Louis, vs. New Orleans

First, let’s get the bad news out of the way.  Orlando Scandrick and DeMarcus Lawrence will miss all four of these games.  Anthony Spencer will also likely miss at least one.  Those are three guys who, if available, would all be starters for a defense that already lacks star power.  Now, the good news.  Colin Kaepernick should not scare you when it comes to his passing abilities.  Ditto for Jake Locker.  The Rams just lost their starting quarterback for the entire season and while we’re on the topic of defensive stars missing games, Dallas will face a vaunted 49ers defense that will be missing LB’s NaVorro Bowman and Aldon Smith.  The only “guaranteed” loss is when Drew Brees and the Saints come to town and drop 40+ on our heads.  If the Cowboys can go 2-2 or 3-1 in this stretch, it sets up the next month swimmingly.

September Prediction: 3-1
