In recent years I’ve found it rather easy to decide on the final few spots of the Cowboys’ 53-man regular season roster. There certainly wasn’t much heated debate over it, which seems to be the case this summer.
Maybe that’s a good sign for Dallas. It could mean the talent level overall has raised to a point even the 53rd man could provide quality snaps during real games.
On the other hand, it may reinforce the fact that injuries flock to the Cowboys defense like mosquitoes in a Southeast Texas rice field.
My take is actually a mixture of both. No more scrubs making the roster, yet definitely need a bigger training room.
Let’s talk a closer look at some of the main players involved in rounding out the final 2014 roster spots, and where each one stands at the moment.
