I am usually not the pessimist when it comes to the Dallas Cowboys. In past years, people would find me boasting about a perfect season before the first preseason game. This year is a completely different feeling. I am sensing doom and gloom this season for Cowboys fans and it is not going to get better anytime soon.

Too many problems exist with this team to think they even have a chance to make the playoffs this year. On one hand, IF the team was completely healthy, the schedule is brutal. Aside from how tough the division games are, you are facing a tough slate of other NFC teams. The Cowboys face the NFC West this year, the toughest division in football. It includes the Super Bowl champion, the NFC runner-up, and two other teams that are drastically on the rise. The New Orleans Saints, Chicago Bears and the Indianapolis Colts are all playoff caliber teams that all pose challenges to Dallas.
