Bruce Carter

Linebacker, Dallas Cowboys

After three years of mediocre play from the Dallas Cowboys former second round pick, linebacker Bruce Carter needs to step up in the absence of the injured Sean Lee. Despite posting career number last season (96 tackles, 2.0 sacks), Carter’s struggles in coverage forced the Cowboys to bench him for a portion of last year. He now blames those difficulties on adjusting to the new defensive scheme. Carter is in the final year of his rookie contract and it’s clear he is playing for his job in 2014. Now, we’ll see if money is enough of a motivator to get Carter to finally live up to his draft status.
