Brandon Carr:

It shouldn’t be a surprise that we find another cornerback on a list of underachieving Cowboy players. Brandon Carr is probably more disappointing than Claiborne because of the huge contract that he was given to come play in Dallas. Called the “50 million dollar man”, Carr’s time in Dallas has been very uneventful. Yes, at times there have been glimpses of playmaking ability that could help solidify the Cowboys’ secondary. Remember the interception that helped seal the win against the Steelers? Then at other times, Carr simply doesn’t show up and can get burnt by some of the best receivers in the game.  While his tackles increased this year, he still only managed three interceptions and only 12 pass deflections. To be the number one cornerback, those numbers have to get better if Carr is to stick around beyond this year. Unfortunately for Carr, the Cowboys most likely are to release him at the start of the 2015 off-season.
