Henry Melton – Defensive Tackle

Henry Melton is the obvious choice to be the most impactful newcomer to the team in 2014. Though the Cowboys did not make a classic “splash” to land Melton in free agency, they certainly coveted him and were fortunate that other teams were not overzealous in offering him a large contract.

By now it is a forgone conclusion that if Melton can fully recover from his knee injury and return to previous form, the Cowboys not only got a steal in free agency, but also a contract that is modest enough to work with over the next several seasons.
