Cole Beasley

Probably one of the easier players to forget with star-studded receiver Dez Bryant on the roster, Cole Beasley is someone who is primed to make a huge impact next year. Teams are going to gun for Bryant like they have in the past, double and triple-teaming him. Sure he’ll get his balls because of his freakish athletic ability, but Beasley is primed to have a big season following his 39 catch, 368 yard, 2 TD performance last year. That doesn’t seem like that much, but Beasley averaged over nine yards per reception and with pass-happy coordinator Scott Linehan running the offense, he should see an uptick. Even more important, quarterback is starting to get another security blanket in Beasley.

I Think everyone of these guys will def have an impact. The bigger question given our injury history is, ” which one of these players can we not live without”, and why?

I also believe Harris should be included in this discussion

I’m a 55 year old Cowboys fan (since the first game they played), but let’s take a reality pill here. Both of these receivers are journeymen, and are never going to make a really significant difference.

Not so. Harris is a great special teams player and with his returns, he has had and will have a HUGE impact on the game.

Beasley – The little engine that could…

I think Free’s issues in 2012 were psychological. He was paid more than he thought he was worth and the pressure got to him. Once his paycheck was more in line with his expectations for himself he played better. I’ve seen people at work disintigrate after a big pay raise because they didn’t believe they could live up to the increase.

IMO, no true fan has forgotten about any of these players. Beasley is the one to focus on. He can be a really good contributor. Mr. first down. Needs to thrown to more. But there is only one ball to go around. Free was a real team player taking that pay cut. More players should be like him. IMO, he will be even better this year with Martin by his side.

Church? Really????? I continue to be mystified as to why people continue to believe in this flop. I keep hearing stuff like “one of the safety positions is set with Church”. Are you blind or have I been watching a different game for the last 50 years. The dude is AWFUL, and couldn’t cover my grandmother. We simply MUST draft some safeties in high rounds at some point. Jerry just refuses to even acknowledge that the position is frighteningly weak.
