With the Dallas Cowboys offseason in full swing, some Cowboys sites will be going into hibernation until the start of training camp in late July. But not The Landry Hat! For us, it’s easy to discuss, debate, and just plain old talk about our favorite team all year long because we love to. And it’s in that spirit that I believe it’s time for us fans to make some bold predictions about the upcoming 2014 regular season. Therefore, The Landry Hat is starting a new daily series called Over/Under.
It’s fairly simple. We’ll present you a daily topic, You’ll tell us if you think that particular Cowboys player will get over or under that stat for the entire regular season and why.
Here’s today’s Over/Under question: Will receiver Dez Bryant score 15 touchdowns in 2014?
Here’s what you need to know: In his four year career, Bryant has yet to reach the 15 touchdown plateau. But he has increased his scoring output every season (6, 9, 12, 13). The Cowboys also recently hired former Detroit Lions’ offensive coordinator Scott Linehan as their passing game coordinator. His addition is expected to improve Dallas’ overall offense in 2014. Last season, Bryant ranked third in the NFL in receiving touchdowns. Only one player, New Orleans Saints tight end Jimmy Graham, had more than 15 touchdown receptions. (16)
