One of the more popular videos on YouTube is a segment from ABC’s late night program Jimmy Kimmel Live. In their videos, celebrities read mean tweets directed at them from random people on the social networking site, Twitter. And it’s their reactions to these overly negative comments that makes the segment so funny.
Now, the good folks over at DallasCowboys.com have replicated those popular segments with their own video entitled: Cowboys Players Read “Mean Tweets” From Fans. And the reactions of the Dallas players have similar hilarious results.
Here’s the link to watch the video yourself: http://www.dallascowboys.com/multimedia/videos/Cowboys-Players-Read-Mean-Tweets-From-Fans/00bafd88-d006-4ef6-888b-e51d108c88d6
It nice to see that these Cowboys players have a sense of humor towards all the criticism. In fact, this video represents a very small portion of the negativity they have to face on a daily basis. Part of that hate comes from the other NFL teams and their fans. It’s simply a byproduct of being called “America’s Team”.
But an almost equal amount comes from their own fans. But after four years without a postseason appearance and nearly twenty years since their last Super Bowl championship, it’s hard to blame them. And I’m sure it helps that everyone involved has a sense of humor in order to deal with it.
