Here’s a look at the Cowboys likely seven guys that make the game day 46 man roster as this position:  Sean Lee, Bruce Carter, Kyle Wilber, DeVonte Holloman, Anthony Hitchens, Justin Durant, Will Smith.  The fact that the Cowboys were hoping Ryan Shazier fell one more spot in the draft says all you need to know about how they feel about this corps.  Obviously, Lee is a Pro-Bowler waiting to happen, that is, if he can play a full sixteen games for the first time in his career.  From there, it gets messy.  Everyone that bleeds silver and blue hopes and prays that the Bruce Carter we saw for a four and a half game stretch in 2012 makes another appearance and decides to take his coat off and stay awhile.  Progression from Wilber and Holloman would be a breath of fresh air as well as Dallas would love the luxury of being able to release Durant during training camp because both of them look that good.  Anything that Hitchens, a fourth rounder which was slated to go much later and Smith, a seventh rounder provide is gravy.  Their contributions would best be served coming in special teams, else that means Lee missed more games or this unit just was not cutting it.
