The Dallas Cowboys select…

When the Cowboys let DeMarcus Ware leave in free agency, they let their one freakish beast of an athlete on the defensive side of the ball go.  Someone who can get to the quarterback and put up some gaudy sack numbers is the biggest need the Cowboys have and a guy like Barr can certainly fill that need.  Built very similarly to Ware at 6’5″ and 255 lbs., Barr put up a NCAA leading 13.5 sacks and 21.5 tackles for loss to go along with four forced fumbles in his junior year and followed that up with double-digit sacks (10) and tackles for loss (20) while leading the entire NCAA in forced fumbles with six.  He has amazing lateral quickness, a quick burst and possesses the necessary explosiveness to be a dominant pass rusher.  He also can drop back into coverage and not be a liability which makes him the type of every down player that can fill a huge void in the Cowboys last ranked defense.

In ten simulations, Barr was available five times.  Cowboys fans can only hope the same holds true Thursday night.
