Will Sutton Rushing The Passer

When Sutton is healthy and at a good playing weight (285-290 pounds), he can be a dominant player in the both the run and pass game. Sutton may not be as quick or as sudden as Aaron Donald or Dominique Easley, but he is a very smart player. He knows how to time snap counts and how to make his body skinny to shoot through gaps. He also has very strong hands and he can slap through soft blocks and rip through guards. Here is a perfect example of that:

The best tool that Sutton possesses is his hand technique. And to make matters worse for his opponents, he has a great combination of power and quickness in those hands. When Sutton plays with good hand technique, he can be nearly impossible to stop. In the NFL, hand placement and sudden hands are the main reason defensive tackles succeed in getting to the quarterback.
