Rank The Greatest Dallas Cowboys Quarterbacks of All-Time

Depending on when you became a Dallas Cowboys fan, you might have different answer to the following question: Who is the greatest quarterback in Cowboys history? For those whom have been around since the beginning, the answer is probably Roger Staubach. For those who only remember the 90′s Super Bowl wins, it’s probably Troy Aikman.  And for those newer fans who haven’t really experienced post-season success as a Cowboys fan, they may vote for Tony Romo.

While all of these names should be in the top five, there are many other quarterbacks who have wore the star that deserve an honorable mention. But where do they belong on the all-time greatest list? Names like Danny White, “Dandy” Don Meredith, and Craig Morton. And then there are one game wonders like Clint Longley and current Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett. Or virtual unknowns like Steve Pelluer or Glenn Carano, the father of female mixed martial artist and action movie star Gina Carano. And my personal favorite “name” of all-time Dallas quarterbacks: Gary Hogeboom.

Use the below ranking tool to determine where all these Dallas Cowboys quarterbacks should be on the all-time greatest list and more. Speaking of our new ranking system, I’m happy to announce a partnership with Ranker.com. Their software allows our readers to rank these players by simply clicking on a vote up or down. The writer is correct. For fans who were around when Roger Staubach played he would easily be the number one quarterback. Absolutely no contest even though Aikman was also a great quarterback.
