Terrell McClain

Defensive Tackle

2013 Team: Houston Texans

McClain has three years under his belt, and fills two needs the Cowboys have – depth on the defensive line, and youth. In 2013 with the Houston Texans, McClain played in all 16 games as a rotational player and recorded 10 tackles with a fumble recovery. He is a very strong man, with the ability to plug up the interior of the line and not let offensive linemen get to the next level. He’s never been given the chance to be “The Guy”, but he is a Rod Marinelli kind of guy. He hustles and plays hard, and that’s what Marinelli is looking for from a core guys for his defensive line. It’ll be interesting to see how he progresses under the instruction of a coach like Marinelli, who squeezes every ounce of talent out of his guys.
