No one is really certain where Pittsburgh DT Aaron Donald will be selected in the 2014 NFL Draft on May 8-10.  He tested off the charts at the NFL Combine and showed domination over college peers at the Senior Bowl.

The reality is none of that was unexpected by professional scouts.  Donald hammered the college competition on his way to being named the best DT in all of college football in 2013.

His compact, light (relative to DT), explosive frame was expected to test very well at the combine.  His play has shown that explosion and quickess throughout college.  No scout thought he’d come to the combine and underwhelm.

Just as before, Aaron Donald has a small build in the NFL world.  At 6’1, 285, Donald will be forfeiting much size to the much larger, powerful guards in the NFL.
