When the Dallas Cowboys signed journey-man defensive tackle Terrell McClain to a three-year deal on Wednesday, it was unclear if the young four-year player had any previous connection with the team. Now, thanks to Bill Jones over at CBS 11, we have an answer. Below you’ll find current Dallas defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli coaching up a young McClain out of USF in what appears to be the 2011 NFL Scouting Combine. (or one of it’s pre-scouting combine regional work-outs)
McClain went on to become a third round pick by the Carolina Panthers after this workout. With the loss of All-Pro defensive end DeMarcus Ware, and the expected losses of defensive end Anthony Spencer and defensive tackle Jason Hatcher to free agency, the Cowboys are currently scrambling to find defensive line depth.
