Requesting A Miracle For The Dallas Cowboys

Where do the Dallas Cowboys turn at this point? As the draft, and ultimately the season, inch nearer, every rumor under the sun has come to light and its at about this time that we fans truly begin to wonder which of the rumors truly have merit and which are those that are merely talk.

Is Morris Claiborne on the trade block? Is DeMarcus Ware taking a pay cut or being cut? Are the Cowboys truly going to find a way to get Johnny Manziel in Dallas? All of these are questions that are going to be answered in the near future.

The question I would like to see answered however is when are the moves the Cowboys make going to be for the betterment of the team and not just another scheme to get under the salary cap or make a big splash. With millions of dollars tied up in only a few players, it seems as if this team is constantly fighting the injury bug and looking for cheap replacements just to get on the field.

While the Seattle Seahawks have quietly built a dominating team, ours now looks for ways to get out from underneath money, and schemes to make these players work mathematically. But not in a way that will help them to win. Right now, this team seems a mess, and there looks to be no real relief in sight.

The draft can offer much in terms of giving this team’s fans hope, but will these picks be squandered? Once again we lay our faith in the hands of Jerry Jones. Maybe he will surprise us all this time.
