There’s no question owner and general manager Jerry Jones loves to spend money. He spends it on anything to make the Dallas Cowboys better, or get them on the map. He invested $700 million of his own money to have AT&T Stadium built, with a total of $1.2 billion spent when you factor in the $325 million the city of Arlington pitched in. He loves the shiny new object – that being the biggest, fastest and highest profile players he can possibly afford. Jerry is also guilty of overpaying players who have performed well for a season or two, but are clearly on the decline. It’s only natural to look at who is next player to get the big payday. Here’s a short list of players whose contracts are coming up, and will be in the conversation of resign candidates. You be the judge of who will get paid next.
