Yahoo Sports recently gave fans a snapshot of a list of free agents that are on the Dallas Cowboys.  I particularly liked the opening comment that started the article, “Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has no intention of firing Jerry Jones the general manager.”  How true!  Below is a list of the Unrestricted Free Agents and my comments on if we should keep or let go of these ‘boys in blue and silver.

OG Ryan Cook – In 2013, Cook was placed in on injured reserve for a knee injury.  If the Cowboys can see he can pass his physical, I could see him being signed back as a backup but that isn’t likely.  He had a hard time passing his pre-camp conditioning test prior to last season’s training camp.  I don’t think he would be worth the time for the Cowboys to invest in any further.  Final word: Let him go.

If Waters wants to come back, great! Dump the rest and start over fresh for less money.

Did you have to include Kitna on this list? He did us a favor. No need to say let him go. If Waters comes back great. Definitely let Hatcher walk. He is only in it for the money and probably has a gross over inflation of what he is worth. Let Spencer test the market and set a price for himself. Only take him back if he is cheap. There’s too much risk with this unmotivated player. I like Sims, but he is a back up since he is to small to hold his ground in the NFL.

My thought exactly. Sounded a little harsh. I think Kitna’s a class act (no pun intended).

Well, excuuuuuuuuse me! Didn’t mean to sound hardcore. How’s this: ” place the flat of your hand in the middle of their back and thank them profusely for their contributions as you firmly guide them to the doorway.” Works for me.

LOL. Never occurred to me Kitna would even be considered to remain after the end of the season and therefore would never show up on a list like this.

I like Belichik’s approach to hiring and firing. After all, players are getting paid a lot more money than they’d make on the street right out of college. In real life, getting the chop isn’t pretty.
