For the past few weeks, you have seen my weekly mock draft cycle between players like safety HaHa Clinton-Dix, defensive tackle Louis Nix III and even quarterback Johnny Manziel as the Dallas Cowboys potential top pick in the upcoming 2014 NFL Draft. ” Jerry Jones has had a history of selecting players that are not first-round caliber for a while now.  He struck gold so far with Travis Frederick.  Even though he wasn’t a first-round pick, he was the first selection by Dallas and probably one of the biggest draft flops in the Jones regime in one Quincy Carter.  Jeffcoat may be one of those golden boys as he has the intangibles to play the position.  He is fast, has a natural pass rush ability, and has pedigree.  Most older fans will recognize the last name but this is the son of former Cowboy great, Jim Jeffcoat.  The other thing we all know about Jones, he likes familiarity so that may be another reason to draft the younger J.Jeffcoat.”
