According to various sources, the Dallas Cowboys have hired former Detroit Lions’ offensive coordinator Scott Linehan as their new offensive playcaller for the upcoming 2014 season. Although the team has not officially made that announcement, it is believed Linehan attended coaches meetings at Valley Ranch on Monday.

But who is Linehan? You know him for being at the helm of one of the most potent offenses in the league as a member of the Lions’ coaching staff the past five seasons. And you know he was instrumental in dismantling the Cowboys defense in Week Eight when receiver Calvin Johnson torched Dallas for 329 receiving yards.
