As a Dallas Cowboys fan, there was an awful lot to be disappointed about in 2013. Mainly, the continued mismanagement of this team by owner and general manger Jerry Jones and the debacle of a coaching job by most of the Cowboys coaching staff starting at the top with head coach Jason Garrett. But today, let’s focus on the players themselves. Here is my list of the top ten most disappointing Dallas Cowboys players of 2013.

10. Cornerback Brandon Carr

Carr started the season strong as a case could have been made for him to be voted Dallas’ defensive MVP in the first half of the season. But in Week Eight, wide receiver Calvin Johnson destroyed him with 14 receptions for 329 yards and a score in a heartbreaking 31-30 loss to the Detroit Lions. That game seemed to have shook Carr’s confidence and his play was lackluster for much of the rest of the season. His decline could also be attributed to the lack of pass rush by the franchise’s worst defense in history and the amount of injuries they suffered. Still, I think we all expected more from a player getting paid $50 million. But there is absolutely no reason to think Carr can’t bounce back next season.
