La'Roi_Glover_in_200710 — LA’ROI GLOVER

Coming out of salary cap Hell, one of the first moves the Dallas Cowboys made was to sign free agent defensive tackle La’Roi Glover to a multiple year contract. In 2000, Glover produced 17 sacks as a defensive tackle. Jerry Jones and Dave Campo were hoping he would have a similar run in Dallas.

The most sacks he had in Dallas was 7 for a season, though 2003 was probably his best statistical year as a Dallas Cowboy. He posted 5 sacks, defended a pass, forced a fumble, recovered two, and had the only safety of his career. The 2003 Dallas Cowboys rode their #1 defense into the wildcard playoffs, losing in Carolina 29-10. Dallas let Glover walk after the 2005 season, their inaugural year transitioning to the 3-4 defense.

Awe the good old days!!! How great it was to be a fan of the Cowboys with Jimmy as Coach. Sitting on the couch watching TV and breaking news would come across it quite often! Walker been traded, Steve Walsh has been picked, Cowboys trade for Haley, cowboys trade for Everrett! Those were exciting times knowing every move that was made just made the Cowboys better! Fast forward 20 years or more and now it seems like every move Cowboys make, makes them worse!
