FanSided has now branched out from simply covering sports into also covering pop culture and entertainment. And one of the most popular television series is Game Of Thrones. Now, Bandit over at Lightly Buzzed, has put together an NFL/Game of Thrones mashup. Checkout what he said the Cowboys representative on the show would be:

COWBOYS – NED ROMO

You want to root for Ned Romo, but it’s hard, because he’s stupid.  He tells everyone his plans and he telegraphs his passes.  You just know this poor bastard is going to get offed before the playoffs.

Although everyone has a right to their opinion, I don’t agree with this one. For me, Romo is actually above everyone else on the offensive side of the ball mentally. It’s his teammates who have to catch up to him when it comes to the playbook knowledge. And to call Romo stupid is short-sighted. I’m not sure you could be an NFL quarterback and be stupid. And to say he telegraphs his passes is a statement made by someone who doesn’t watch much game footage outside of ESPN highlights. Unfortunately, Romo does have a tendency to make mistakes in big games. He’ll have to prove otherwise before he loses that label.
