Here’s my take:

“For me, Hatcher has been the Cowboys defensive MVP for 2013. But his age and Dallas’ cap situation makes it unlikely we’d have enough to offer Hatch who will be looking for one final payday.“

He played great this season but he too old let him go! Start building a team like NE does every year

    • Ed

NE has a problem finding defensive players that are worth keeping. Aside from Wilfork or Mayo they move on, trade or drop after 3years.

Id do a two year deal or a cheap 3-4 year deal. He had been a back up the wear and tear on his body isn’t bad at all. He has shown improvement if anything as time has gone on. Wouldn’t break the bank though, but there is to many holes on defense to fix in the draft and especially with the cap issues.

    • Ed

It sounds good to the fans, but if he wants to get paid to some degree and for a good while, he needs to do it now while he has a name (ie: Canty). But if he’ll fall for it, hey.

cut ware, and sign hatcher, better fit in a 4=3 scheme, and after that, select the better DE in firsth round, and with that money, the money left of ware cut help the jerry jones cap mess, sign hatcher for seasons, half guaranted

    • Jeff

The problem to me is every time, if it has ever happened actually, we get into the safe zone of our cap mess, which seems to have been going on for an eternity now, JJ puts us right back in it or will, with a snap of the finger. So to me, personally, cutting all these players, like witten and ware to name a couple, is pointless because we will be right back in cap hell.

He wants his $$ – let him get it elsewhere. Draft or FA or maybe a cheap Spencer.
