Here we go again…

Sixteen weeks of hard work, preparation, exhilaration, heartbreak and pain lead to the third straight season-ending installment of “Win and In” for the Dallas Cowboys.  If ever the term star-crossed could apply more accurately to a franchise and specific team, I would dare you to find it.  Much like years past, it seems that the Cowboys just cannot get out of their own way and find success at times, only to reject it.  Unlike years past, this behavior has been accompanied by tremendously bad luck when it comes to injuries.  Major pieces to the Cowboys puzzle like DeMarco Murray, Miles Austin, Brian Waters, Anthony Spencer, DeMarcus Ware, Sean Lee and Morris Claiborne have all missed multiple games or the entire season at various spots throughout the year.  The latest blow may be the death knell.  After attempting everything short of voodoo and sacrifice, Tony Romo will indeed miss the game and any future ones, electing to have back surgery Friday.  Seriously, it cannot get any worse on the injury front.

Regardless of all that, there is a game to be played and a division rival who could not care less about the wounds, self-inflicted or otherwise, Dallas must lick.  So here are the Philadelphia Eagles, winners of five of their last six games, including a complete annihilation of a Chicago Bears team that destroyed Dallas just three weeks ago.  This matchup has all the opposite factors that at first glance, appear to be quite ominous.  A confident, borderline cocky team versus a team that has to be waiting for the other shoe to drop at all times.  A top-notch offense versus one the league’s worst defenses.  The league’s top rated quarterback versus someone getting their first start in almost two years.  How can Dallas prevail and extend their season?  Let’s take a look at the final version of the Four Quarters for the regular season to find a way for the Cowboys to do just that.
