3. Tell us a little about the struggles of the Green Bay defense this season.
DD: The Packers had a four game stretch in the middle of the season where their defense looked really good. They ranked third in the league against the run and eleventh in total yards allowed. Since Rodgers has been out, the defense has plummeted. They are now ranked in the bottom ten in the league. I don’t know if Rodgers’ absence has had any connection to the Packers’ defensive meltdown in November, but over the past month they just haven’t been the sane unit. They’re missing a ton of tackles, playing soft coverage, and getting pushed around in the trenches. Finally, the defense put in a good performance last week in a win over the Falcons. So we’ll see if they’re really righting the ship when they play Dallas, or if they just played a lackluster Atlanta team.
