GET B.W. WEBB OFF THE FIELD

How many times does B.W. Webb have to get burned and run circles around before they accept he is not ready to perform on this level?

To Webb’s credit he’s only a rookie and his head is noticeably spinning out there.  His head is spinning and then the guy he is covering spins his body around to match. Even in zone coverage Webb looks lost and is often in the wrong place.

The fix here is to do whatever possible to replace him.  Be it Sterling Moore or anyone else that can be found to put up a better fight.  Right now he is completely losing his battle over and over and killing the defense on key 3rd downs and critical situations.

If a player is likely going to lose his battle and surrender big catches consistently, why is he still on the field?  The worst that can happen to a replacement is to lose the match-up, and they are already there with Webb.

If a decent replacement can’t be found, then give the guy help.  Trust Orlando Scandrick and Brandon Carr to at least limit their guys without help, and assign a safety to shut down Webb’s man.

Opposing coaches are well aware that Webb is almost a guaranteed completion. Want to fix the defense, first remove Webb or give the guy help out there, he conclusively can’t cover his man.

Spot on Brad. All of this is obvious to us fans, so why are the coaches so clueless? Heath and Webb are special teamers this year at best. Wilcox should be starting. Mo has to be reminded that football players play. CBs were all drafted based on their man to man skills for RR’s scheme. Coaches need to adapt to player’s skill set.
